Cathy Finlay is a seasoned actor who has been in showbiz since the age of 7, the youngest of The Finlay Sisters, a trail-blazing Irish dancing trio in greater Boston.  Her sisters eventually quit, but Cathy did not, instead winning scholarships to Emerson College in Boston and Weist Barron in NYC.  She went on to train with Herbert Berghof, Tim Phillips, and Austin Pendleton.

Cathy worked steadily in theatre, print and commercials, originating the role of Kate O’Neil in the World Premiere of Ellis Island Stories. She also gained notoriety at Hilton Head Playhouse playing Chris, the feisty (Irish) dancing sister in Dancing At Lughnasa.

Taking time off to raise a family, she’s returned to the industry to focus on film and TV, now playing countless dysfunctional mothers. Several of her films have garnered multiple awards, including Backup Plan (5 wins), Mr. Sam (10 wins) and Naked Ambition (8 wins). She’ll be playing the lead role in Special, written by award winning playwright Ann Meredith and produced by The League of Professional Theater Women.

Cathy is also an accomplished yoga teacher, with adults and children, a  Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, and a Reiki practitioner. She’s forever grateful to live in NYC, THE BEST CITY IN THE WORLD!
